Hi, my name is Garrett Thompson, I’m currently a freshman at Bloomsburg University and I’m studying Mass Communications with a focus in Telecommunications. I like to play basketball, run, and workout a lot. I also enjoy cars and going to car shows. In the future I hope to either be a sports radio talk show host, a live TV announcer for the NBA, or some for of corporate communications job for Nissan or Toyota. I would also like to spend a few years after college living in Osaka, Japan. The reason for wanting to go to Japan is because I’m very interested in Japanese cars. I wanna go there, see what daily life is like and how it differs from here in the US. I wanna visit the Nissan factory and all the old Japanese tuning shops. I wanna go to the underground car meet at Daikoku Futo (big parking lot under highway). I also want to learn the Japanese language and I’m very interested in their culture. I like to have backup plans if things ever go bad or don’t work out, so if I suddenly lose interest in communications I think my backup plan is to be a police officer. My sister was a criminal justice major and is currently in law school, and I’ve always been interested with the police and the law itself. I think it would be a rough job though because of the bad things police officers are associated with, but I would try and negate those stereotypes placed on police officers. When I’ve been working for multiple years and I have a wife and maybe a child or two, I think I would like to live in Texas or Salt Lake City Utah. I’d go to either of these places because they’re both very beautiful and they’re kind of big like NYC but not nearly as populated or crowded. I would want a nice house with a 3 or 4 car garage because I plan on importing at least 2 cars from Japan. I would also like a big backyard for the kids and the 2 Huskies that I will own. As far as money goes, as long as I’m happy and enjoy what I’m doing at my job, then I have nothing to complain about.
